German Coin
A German Coin is an excellent investment and there are people who are collecting it. Though the EURO was introduced, there are still a large number of highly valuable German coins around. These coins are being overlooked. Thus, getting these coins at reasonable prices is possible.
There are different kinds of German coins. During the Nazi era, three different kinds were minted; the Nazi German silver coins, the Nazi German 7 coin set and the old high-grade Nazi coin.
The Nazi German silver coins are four silver coins that served as reminders of the terror demonstrated by the Third Reich. The 2 Reichsmark was out from 1936-1939 that has Paul Von Hindenburg on one side of the coin and an eagle holding a swastika on the other. The first 5 Reichsmark has the image of the Potsdam Military Church on one side of the coin and an eagle with 2 swastikas on the other. The next 5 Reichsmark issued also had Paul Von Hindenburg and an eagle with a wreathed swastika on either side.
The Nazi German 7 coin set consists of the seven lower denomination coins; each has the eagle and the swastika. The 1, 2, 5 and 10 denomination coins issued from 1936-1939 were made from copper alloys. In 1940, the 1, 5 and 10 Reichspfening were transformed to zinc.
The old high-grade Nazi German Coin is an original uncirculated bronze Nazi 1 Reachspfening coins. It has an eagle holding a wreathed swastika and the denomination on either side. These coins are dated 1937 making them over 70 years old, but they still retain most of the original mint.
